DESIGN ASSOCIATION has created Tokyo Design & Art Environmental Awards with corporate, embassies, media , and schools.
From a quarter century of devotion to design, DESIGN ASSOCIATION now heads in a new direction by uniting environmental aspects with design.
And this Award program is the symbol of our new direction.

The award program lead by Award Foundation and more than 300 award committee members. They will serve as the judges to select winners from works created under the theme of “Global Environment” and “Living Environment”. The works are to be collected from designers and artists across the world.

■ Purpose

Revolutionary movement for the environment will not occur unless all parties of the society including companies, government, media, creators and private citizens work together. We believe that design and art posses the power to bring them together to change the behavior and tendencies of society. The awards’ aim is to fulfill the mission through design and art perspectives.

A group of over 300 international Award Judge Members from various fields: Designers, Artists, Curators, Media, Journalists, Cultural Figures, Embassies, Schools, Public Organizations and Corporations.

Award Judge Members name one designer and one artist who they think have represented “Ecological Environment” or “Lifestyle Environment ”　the best through their works during the period of 2009(May) until 2010 (April)

The installation of Tokyo Design&Art Environmental Award will be held inside of the Environmental Design Exhibition Tents at the Tokyo Designers Week main venue.
