Leo P. H. Chan (MHKDA), obtained his BA(Hons) Graphic Design from London Central Saint Martins and Master of Arts in Typo/Graphic Design from London College of Printing. Leo won live briefs every year in his studies and founded On Your Mark Design Laboratory after he came back to Hong Kong for goods. Through experiments and testing in the lab, he always tries his best to find out new possibilities in design. He was selected by Perspective magazine in 2009 as one of the "40 under 40" young designers in Asia. His On Your Mark Design Laboratory had also been received international design awards over different categories.

The function and purpose of design could deeply impact our life, our society and the environment around us. It is becoming an everyday activity rather than a professional study.
Designers respond to the events of their time through design and by doing so can influence or help shape their societies by the imagery and other pieces they produce. In other words, design reflects society but can also help to change it.
Hong Kong is at the crossroads of economic and social changes. It's role within China, the world and the use of design has become more significant. We, as practicing designers do share the responsibility in contribution to the master plan of how Hong Kong make use creative design force to transit itself into the immense global arena.
